Color process is usually applied after plating, filled by hand or printed by machine. The color is made according to the Pantone Matching System, so we could do any color you want. We have several different kinds of color process, each option will have different sign effects. Below is the detailed introduction of each one.

 

Imitation Hard Enamel

 
 Imitation Hard Enamel (cloisonné) pins are made using the same technique as the cloisonné, but the recessed spaces are filled with a hard epoxy enamel rather than glass. The Epola filling gives a beautiful, high quality look similar to that of the cloisonné, but at a lower price and with Pantone color options. Gold, silver or nickel plated. So on.  Soft Enamel 

For a less expensive version of our Epola pin that has the same look and PMS color options,  
try the Die-Struck Softet Enamel. With this style, a soft enamel is painted into the recesses of  the brass die-struck base, leaving a relief effect that lets you feel the die-struck pattern, Gold, silver or nickel plated. Add a clear epoxy dome for long-lasting durability and a  shiny, finished look.
 

 Offset printing 

Off-set is best used for designs with detailed color gradations, we create the  effect using a similar process to that of the Photo Dome pins, but with the design printed directly onto the metal base, the print is then covered with an epoxy dome for long-lasting protection. Offset printing is typically used for large quantity orders due to the complexity  of the process.

 

 Silk-screen   
                                                                                                                                     
Silk screen printing is print on the flat metal,or (imitation) hard enamel. One color per time. Each color needs a silkscreen mold which can usually be kept for three months. An epoxy dome or spray painting will then be added on top of the printing to protect it unless it is printed on imitation hard enamel. Small lines and pictures can be made very clearly if using silk screen compared with enamel. 



Photo Etching
Your design is chemically etched into brass or stainless steel,creating recesses which are then filled with soft enamel, The etching process allows for high definition of lettering and design, with colors separated by metal lines, Gold, silver or nickel plated, Clear epoxy finish available.
